Lagos State University Management has issued a directive for all staff and students to remain off campus on that day. This decision was made during a meeting held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

The directive aims to ensure the safety and security of the university community amidst potential unrest during the protest.

As a result, the Lagos State University Students Union General Election, initially scheduled for August 1, 2024, has been suspended until further notice.

The University Management will provide updates regarding the resumption of socio-academic and administrative activities in due course. In the meantime, all members of the university community are urged to remain calm and prioritize their safety during the protest.
