Nigerian students excel with 22 medals at international mathematics tournament in Bulgaria

The Nigerian Tulip International Colleges (NTIC) has garnered significant recognition by securing an impressive tally of 22 medals at the Mathematics without Borders International Tournament held in Bulgaria.

According to the organizers of the tournament, the Mathematics without Borders Int’l Tournament is an academic mathematics tournament which “aims at promoting the ancient science of Mathematics and composed of four rounds, with the first two rounds being held in the partner schools.”

Feyzullah Bilgin, the Managing Director of NTIC, expressed his admiration for the students’ remarkable achievement, stating, “From our school branches across Nigeria, 90 students participated in tandem with 23,248 peers from 29 nations, including Canada, the USA, Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Indonesia. Ultimately, 22 of our students emerged victorious, clinching 6 gold, 4 silver, and 12 bronze medals.”

Bilgin extended special commendation to notable individuals, highlighting, “We particularly commend the outstanding performances of students such as Abubakar Hafsat and Maryam Idris Bowu, who achieved perfect scores, along with Yunus Hassan Yunus from NTIC Yobe Primary, Luis Lu from NTIC Abuja Boys, Kaosisochukwu Karsten Enebe from NTIC Abuja Co-Ed, and Oghenerukevwe Esemitodje Patrick from Bright Sun College, Lagos Secondary, for their gold medal triumphs in the inaugural round of the competition.”
