The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued a stern warning to camp officials, advising them to refrain from excessive socialization with members of the scheme.
Hajiya Aisha Mohammed, the coordinator of the NYSC in Katsina State, emphasized this directive during a briefing for officials ahead of the forthcoming three-week orientation course scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 6, 2024.
Mohammed underscored the importance of officials setting a positive example for the young participants by maintaining discipline throughout the orientation course. She urged personnel to demonstrate their commitment by adhering strictly to the established rules and regulations governing the event.
Highlighting the need for maintaining professionalism, Mohammed discouraged officials from engaging in over-socialization with corps members and emphasized the importance of maintaining a professional relationship with them.
Furthermore, Mohammed called for cooperation between the security personnel deployed for the exercise and the officials to ensure a smooth and secure environment. She stressed that such collaboration would encourage active participation from the corps members.
Echoing her sentiments, Camp Commandant Capt. AS Musa emphasized the significance of teamwork in executing the exercise effectively. He reiterated the dedication of the security agencies to ensure the safety of the camp throughout the duration of the exercise.
