OAU: NAOOS president promises inclusiveness

The new president of the National Association of Oke Ogun Students, Obafemi Awolowo University Chapter, Olakunle Samad Olamilekan has assured that his administration will encourage inclusiveness.

Olakunle who got his certificate of return alongside other members of the executive on May 27, 2023 made this known in a chat with Edugist.

In his words, “Basically, part of the problems the association is facing is a lack of inclusiveness and not being aware of the activities going on. I want to address that by carrying everyone along. I hope we will be able to bring back old memories of them seeing the association thrive.

“Series of activities are being planned to be done to make them feel included. I hope to organize online Lectures on important issues affecting the members, our region and solutions that can be recommended. We are all important to make our region and our country great”.

He added that his administration will organise competitions like friendly matches, and quiz competitions, within and outside the zone so that members can participate.

“Also, we are hoping to return home to host some beneficial programmes for the community, especially for the young ones coming behind,” he mentioned.

The members of the executive council for the 2023/24 academic session are, Olakunle Samad Olamilekan – President, Abiola Rokeeb – Vice President, Aliu Olaitan Moshood – General Secretary, Ayoade Gloria Toluwase – Public Relations Officer, Ogunsola Fareedah Abiodun – welfare Director, Adelere Veronica Wuraola – Assistant general secretary, Bello Aminat Oladunni – Auditor, Olabisi, Joseph Oluwadamilare – Treasurer, Ayiki Hadeezah – Director of Social, Aridunnu Goodness Grace – Financial Secretary.
