The authorities of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun State, have announced adjustments to the fees payable by students for the upcoming academic session. This decision was reached during an emergency meeting of the University Senate on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023.
According to a press release issued by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Abiodun Olarewaju, the new fee structure is categorised into various faculties, with different rates for freshers and returning students.
For students in the Faculties of Arts, Law, and Humanities, ‘freshers’ will now pay a fee of #151,200, while returning students in the same faculties will be required to pay #89,200.
Meanwhile, students in the Faculties of Technology and Science will see new students paying #163,200, and returning students within these faculties are to pay #101,200.
In addition, those seeking admission into the Faculties within the College of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Pharmacy will be required to pay #190,200 for new students and #128,200 for returning students.
It’s important to note that these revised fees are applicable for the upcoming academic session only.
