Over 2,000 graduate from Lagos technical colleges, Sanwo-Olu celebrates achievements

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has celebrated the graduation of over 2,000 skilled professionals from the state five Government Technical Colleges during the Year 2024 Graduation Ceremony.

The event, organized by the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board (LASTVEB), showcased the administration commitment to empowering youth through technical and vocational education.

Taking to his official channels, Governor Sanwo-Olu shared:
“Today, I am proud to announce that over 2,000 students from our five Government Technical Colleges graduated as skilled professionals during the Year 2024 Graduation Ceremony. This event, coordinated by the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board (LASTVEB), underscores our administration’s commitment to education and technology.”

The Governor emphasized the importance of technical education in driving economic growth, stating:
“Today, we celebrate not just their achievements but also the potential they represent for the future of Lagos State and Nigeria. Technical and vocational education is vital as it equips our youth with practical skills essential for a dynamic economy.”

The graduates have been trained in fields such as engineering, construction, ICT, business, and the creative arts, equipping them to contribute to Lagos State’s vision of a prosperous and inclusive society.

This initiative is part of the state T.H.E.M.E.S+ agenda, which prioritizes investing in youth skills development. According to the Governor, the program seeks to create a sustainable future by preparing the next generation for the challenges of a dynamic global economy.

The graduation ceremony serves as a testament to the Lagos State Government’s commitment to education, technology, and the empowerment of its youth.
