The government of Oyo State has partnered the University of Ibadan to train police officers and other security agencies in the state.

While speaking during the inauguration of a 11-man judicial panel of inquiry on Wednesday November 11, 2020, the state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, said the training would enhance the knowledge of police officers in criminal justice and human right enforcement.

He added that it will eliminate incidents of police brutality unlawful killings, extortion and violation of human rights amongst others.

Makinde said this was a step further in bridging the gap between security agencies and members of the public.
