Lagos state is set to introduce its new blue light rail system, and the first test run was conducted on Tuesday with the participation of students and pupils. The rail line runs from Marina to Mile 2 and is expected to provide a faster and more efficient means of transportation for Lagosians.

According to senior special assistant, Jubril Gawat, who shared pictures of the test run on Twitter, the aim of the test run was to familiarize lagosians with the rail system. Different groups of people across the state are expected to participate in subsequent test runs before the official launch.

The test run was a success, and the students who participated expressed excitement at the prospect of using the rail line for their daily commute. The blue light rail system is expected to ease the traffic congestion that is characteristic of Lagos roads, and provide a more comfortable and reliable means of transportation for residents.

The lagos state government has invested heavily in the development of the rail system, and the blue light rail is one of several ongoing rail projects in the state. The government is committed to improving transportation infrastructure in Lagos State, and the blue light rail is just one part of this effort.

The official launch date for the blue light rail system is yet to be announced, but with the success of the test run, lagosians can look forward to a new era of efficient and reliable transportation in the state.
