Teachers’ Recruitment: Osun to Apply Strict Measures

Government of Osun state has announced that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board would conduct examination for applicants for teaching jobs in public schools in the state.

The government also said, following that, rigorous interviews would be conducted by competent panels to select the best among the applicants.

Contrary to the insinuations that the recruitment would be skewed to favour present and past members of Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme, the state Commissioner for Education, Mr. Folorunsho Oladoyin, informed and assured applicants of a strict and thorough exercise.

According to Oladoyin, “It is still an exercise that will be done based on merit; nobody is planning to do it in a way that will help only Oyes Cadets to get the appointments.

“We want the best of the best as teachers to teach our children. How can we now think of such move as being peddled around? Governor Adegboyega Oyetola will never agree to that”
