The management of the University of Ilorin, Kwara State has punished five students of the institution for alleged misdemeanours committed on the campus.
While two students were expelled from the institution, three others were rusticated for one academic session.
A statement by the Director of Corporate Affairs of the university, Kunle Akogun, on Monday, said the Vice-Chancellor approved the rustication and expulsion of the students after the recommendation of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee on Friday, July 5, 2024.
The students were expelled from the Department of Human Kinetics and the Department of Education Management.
Those rusticated are from the Department of Communication and Information Science; the Department of Marketing and Department of Telecommunication Science.
