The Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZUBEB) has recently announced the promotion of 2,020 teachers, spanning from grade levels 6 to 16, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance teachers’ welfare across the state.
According to a statement released by Ibrahim Musa Maizare, the Public Relations Officer of ZUBEB, the Standing Committee for Appointment and Promotion has diligently submitted its findings to the Executive Chairman of the board, Professor Nasir Garba Anka.
Chairing the committee, Rufa’i Jibiril Muhammad, who is also a permanent member II, reported that the committee conducted thorough assessments across all fourteen local government Education Authorities. As a result, a total of 2,020 teachers have been promoted, categorized across various grade levels.
The breakdown of promotions reveals 19 teachers elevated from Grade Level 16, 27 from Grade Level 15, 163 from Grade Level 14, and 305 from Grade Level 13, among others. The distribution of promotions across local governments includes 112 in Anka, 71 in Bakura, 95 in Birnin Magaji, and so forth.
Muhammad expressed gratitude to the board’s leadership for entrusting them with the responsibility and pledged continued commitment to executing their duties impartially.
In response, Prof. Nasir Garba Anka, the Executive Chairman of ZSUBEB, commended the committee for their diligent work despite limited resources. He reiterated his commitment to prioritizing teachers’ welfare, affirming that the board will ensure timely promotions and fulfill its promises.
Anka further assured that the report would undergo thorough scrutiny before being presented to the Executive Governor for final approval, emphasizing the board’s dedication to transparency and fairness in its operations.
