Ondo Gov Releases Car Loans to Primary School Teachers

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has released car loans worth 47.6 million naira to primary school teachers in the state.

The cheques were presented to the beneficiaries of the loans at the government house in Akure on Thursday May 28, 2020.

The governor stated that, the scheme was aimed at supporting teachers in the state.

He said the initiative was first of its kind for primary school teachers in the history of the state.

Akeredolu added that, he would ensure the scheme is protected from fraud and other abuses.

He, however, urged the teachers to work with their union to prevent any fraudulent act.

Akeredolu also assured teachers in the state lots of benefits from his administration.

The state Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Victor Amoko, and the state Chairman of the Nigeria labour Congress, Sunday Adeleye expressed their gratitude to the governor for the gesture and pledged their support to his administration

The deputy National Secretary General of the Nigeria union of teachers, Momodu Braimoh also commended the governor for the scheme.
