The University of Ilorin has disclosed its plan to extend its training agreement with the Nigerian Army to other arms of the military and the paramilitary forces.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sulyman Age Abdulkareem, disclosed this when the Acting Head, Nigerian Army Education Corps (NAEC), Brig-Gen. B. H. Mohammed, visited him in his office.

Army personnel pursue masters’ programme at the university’s Centre for Peace and Strategic Studies under the tutelage of its lecturers while the examinations are moderated at the Nigerian Army School of Education, Ilorin.

Represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Sylvia O. Malomo, the VC noted that education is key to any sphere of endeavour in life and expressed delight that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) earlier signed by the two bodies is yielding intended fruit.
