In a groundbreaking achievement, 15-year-old Kanyeyachukwu Tagbo-Okeke, an autistic Nigerian prodigy, has officially earned the title of holder of the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the largest painting on a canvas by an individual.

The extraordinary artwork, spanning an awe-inspiring 12,303 square metres, was unveiled in a grand ceremony at the Eagle Square in Abuja on Wednesday, April 2, coinciding with the observance of World Autism Awareness Day.

The unveiling event drew a crowd of dignitaries, art lovers, and passionate advocates for autism inclusion, all gathered to celebrate this remarkable feat.

During the ceremony, Tagbo-Okeke was formally presented with his GWR certificate, marking a historic milestone in the art world.

The young artist’s father, deeply moved by his son’s triumph, spoke emotionally about the journey to this moment.

He described the accomplishment as a powerful testament to Tagbo-Okeke’s unwavering determination, emphasising how the feat proved the doubters wrong and highlighted the boundless potential of individuals with autism.
