Once upon a time, there lived two close friends: Tina and Victoria. They were best friends since their childhood days. They attended the same primary and secondary schools. both friends were so brilliant that they were regularly called out for prizes in their secondary school.

And since their plan was to fight injustice against women, they decided to study law at the university. They wrote all exams and passed excellently.

Things changed when they got to the university. Tina’s seriousness to her studies began to reduce. She no longer devoted time to her studies. She started to go out with bad friends. Victoria was surprised to see this. “Tina has changed,” she said several times. Tina paid more attention to pleasure than her studies. Victoria tried to talk to her but she did not listen.

One fateful Sunday morning, when Victoria woke up and discovered that Tina was out of the room. She became worried, trying to find out where she had gone. She wondered if Tina had gone to church because she woke up late. She quickly bathed and rushed to the church for the morning devotion.

Victoria was shocked when she discovered from a coursemate that Tina was hanging out with boys on a Sunday morning. After church services, Victoria went back home. She met Tina lying on a chair reading a novel. She greeted Tina but no response. Victoria was sad that her childhood friend had turned to something else. She walked into her room to think of the next step to take to help her friend.

The following day, both friends left home for a counseling class by Mrs Adebayo. The topic for that day was “Beauty or Character”. The counsellor chose the topic in order to advise the young girls on campus. When Mrs Adebayo was talking about the danger of living under the influence of beauty, Tina stopped all she was doing and concentrated on the talk. She later became sober. She quickly regretted her actions.

After the counselling class, Tina went to her friend and apologize to her. She promised her that she would remain a child if God.

Moral Lessons:

Do not let your beauty either influence or ruin you.
