GirlLEAD Women in Data Bootcamp Scholarship is providing premium access to all courses, skill competency tests, guided and self-paced projects, and data science competitions on the Datacamp platform through a relationship with Datacamp.
R programming, Python programming, SQL, spreadsheets, business analytics, data analysis, data engineering, data science, machine learning, and more are just a few of the many tracks available.
Girls and young women of African origin can enroll in this 12-week online bootcamp to learn basic to advanced data skills. For participants who have some prior data-related experience, this is also an opportunity for them to participate in projects and competitions on the Datacamp platform in order to develop their portfolios, gain practical experience, and feel secure enough to apply for data science jobs.
Program structure includes self-paced online learning, 1-2 hours of required catch-up work every two weeks, weekly assignments, discussion boards, and group activities.
Requirements
To be considered for the Scholarship, you must:
- Be a woman of African origin aged 16-40 years
- Laptop, Internet Access and Data
