The keynote speaker, Ya’u Isa Garba, who serves as the Director of the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR), delved into this topic in his presentation titled “Harnessing the Power of Artificial Intelligence for Research and Development.”
He underscored the critical role AI plays in fostering innovation and driving growth in various sectors.
The workshop also delved into the ethical dimensions of AI technology.
Gayus Ishaku Bwala, a guest speaker from the Centre for Satellite Technology Development, Abuja, delivered a thought-provoking presentation titled “Ethics and Governance for the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Developing Society.”
His paper examined the ethical considerations surrounding the deployment of AI and the importance of responsible governance in ensuring its positive impact on society.
