The executives of the Faculty of Arts Students Association (FASA) has orchestrated their first town hall meeting and press briefing to foster academic development and rejuvenation of the students.

The session, led by President Comr. Oladoja Ayomide (M.E.M), unfolded a comprehensive roadmap aimed at enhancing students’ academic journey and addressing infrastructure concerns within the Faculty.

President Ayomide began the interactive session by unveiling strategic collaborations, notably a partnership with TAFTA to provide students with certification courses. The association also announced upcoming training sessions, including a venture into the business aspects of agriculture with an international organisation.

These initiatives are geared towards equipping students with practical skills and certifications, bolstering their career prospects.

The President’s briefing extended to critical infrastructure matters, addressing the imminent reopening of the English Language building restroom. He assured the implementation of regulations to ensure the sustained upkeep of these facilities.

Furthermore, President Ayomide urged students to adhere to school rules, fostering a positive image for the Faculty.
Vice President Comr. Ramon Mujibat provided insights into forthcoming programs, placing particular emphasis on an innovative approach to the Freshers orientation program. This forward-thinking strategy aims to provide newcomers with a practical and immersive introduction to campus life.
During the session, attendees actively engaged with the executives, raising concerns about stained whiteboards, damaged sockets, and academic timetables.

The executives promptly responded with solutions and committed to addressing these issues, further emphasizing their dedication to enhancing the overall student experience.

As the inaugural town hall meeting concluded, attendees commended the 31st FASA-LASU executives for their initiative in fostering transparency and inclusivity. The event underscored the commitment of the executive team to academic empowerment and infrastructure development, setting a positive tone for the academic session.
