As Muslims all over the world commenced the thirty days fasting and prayers to mark the commencement of the month of Ramadan, the Rector, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Kehinde Alabi, has urged the entire Muslim Faithful in the polytechnic to dedicate their prayers to the continued peace and harmony in Osun State and the polytechnic in particular.
The Rector in a statement he personally signed in his office on Monday urged the Islamic devotees in the Institution to be more dedicated and just in the course of their fasting so that Allah could grant their supplications.
Alabi noted that the 30 days of fasting is a period to re-dedicate oneself to prayers in holiness and humility.
According to him “this period is a special session for we Islamic faithful to examine ourselves, humble ourselves and make fervent requests from Allah and with hope, I believe that Allah will grant our heart desires. In the light of this, I call on all our Islamic faithful to kindly dedicate their prayers to the continued peace and tranquility in our State and Institution in particular.
“Let’s use this period for penance, restitution and reconciliation with Allah, so that our supplications could be granted in our holiness”.
