The Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye ICT Workstation powered by the LCDA Chairman, Hon Rasaq Ajala, at Ilupeju has hosted students preparing for the upcoming Y2024 UTME exams on Saturday, 9th March.
The examination was spearheaded by Afeez Arisekola Salaudeen. It showcased the invaluable role of mock exams in shaping students’ success and preparing them ahead of the final exam coming up in the month of April
The mock exams, encompassing all UTME subject combinations, served as a pivotal moment for students to evaluate their readiness, receive constructive feedback, and fine-tune their strategies.
This practice not only gauged their understanding but also pinpointed areas requiring improvement, offering a roadmap for effective exam preparation.
Following the completion of the practice tests, students swiftly received their results, providing them with an insightful analysis of their strengths and weaknesses. Mr. Salaudeen lauded the significance of Computer-Based Testing (CBT) practice, emphasizing its role in familiarizing students with the JAMB exam format and question types.
Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Salaudeen commended Hon. Rasaq Ajala for his unwavering dedication to service and community development, underscoring the collaborative efforts in creating opportunities for educational advancement.
Post-mock tests, several students shared their thoughts in interviews.
Aishat, a participant, affirmed that the CBT practice instilled a newfound assurance for the imminent UTME. “I was able to determine my ability through the CBT tests, and I’m going to take the UTME with confidence because now, I understand the process better,” she said.
Undoubtedly, these CBT tests not only empower students to address their weaknesses before the actual exam but also significantly enhance their chances of success.
Other students expressed optimism and agrees that this initiative will serve as a beacon of hope and help them to fix other areas as far as the forthcoming exam is concerned.
The event serves as a beacon of preparation and confidence, guiding these students on their journey towards academic accomplishment and future leadership.
