The University of Maiduguri was rocked by the savage murder of one of its esteemed faculty members, Kamar Abdulkadir, within the confines of the institution’s campus.
Edugist learnt that Abdulkadir, a lecturer in the Department of Physical and Health Education (P.H.E), met his tragic demise on Sunday, falling victim to a heinous assault perpetrated by unidentified assailants who infiltrated his office under the shroud of anonymity.
According to chilling accounts from sources close to the deceased, including friends and associates who took to social media to express their shock and grief, the assailants ruthlessly wielded a knife and hammer in their barbaric attack on Abdulkadir.
The aftermath revealed a scene of horror, with the lecturer discovered lifeless amidst a pool of his own blood, bearing multiple grievous wounds inflicted by his merciless assailants.
Reports indicate that Abdulkadir valiantly attempted to defend himself, resulting in the ghastly image of his hands gruesomely mutilated in a desperate bid to ward off the ferocious assault.
Tragically, his efforts were in vain as the assailants callously proceeded to bludgeon him with a hammer, leaving behind a trail of devastation that claimed his life in an instant, with fatal blows directed at his head and spinal cord.
In a further display of depravity, the perpetrators callously plundered Abdulkadir’s possessions, including his vehicle and other valuables, compounding the anguish of an already grieving community.
