1. Bayero University, Kano began as Ahmadu Bello College in January 1960, affiliated with Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
2. In 1975, it became a fully-fledged university, named after the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Bayero.
3. BUK’s main campus is located along Gwarzo Road in Kano. It houses the administrative offices, faculties, and a majority of the academic departments.
