The Management of Kwara State University (KWASU) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to maintaining discipline following a series of controversial skits allegedly produced by one of its students.
The skits, which depict inappropriate contact with female students, have sparked outrage and prompted swift action from the university’s authorities.
In an official statement, the university emphasized that the content of the skits does not align with the institution’s values or the ethical standards upheld by the majority of KWASU students.
“KWASU prides itself on producing well-rounded graduates who excel both in character and academic learning. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of indiscipline,” the statement read.

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, has taken immediate action by disabling the student’s portal access pending a thorough investigation by the Student Disciplinary Committee. This decisive move underscores the institution’s commitment to upholding its core values and ensuring that all students adhere to the highest standards of conduct.
Professor Jimoh reiterated the university’s dedication to promoting decency and ethical behavior, aligning with the values championed by all religions.
“We will not condone any actions that compromise these fundamental principles,” he asserted.
The university community and the public have been urged to await the outcome of the investigation, which will determine any further disciplinary measures. KWASU remains steadfast in its mission to foster an environment of integrity, respect, and academic excellence.
