The Governing Council of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, will commence its duties on Monday, July 22, according to a statement released to Edugist.
The council will be led by Prof. Funsho Afolabi, a distinguished academic and expert in educational administration, currently serving as a Professor of Geography and Tourism.
The statement highlighted that Prof. Afolabi’s appointment brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Upon arrival, the council is scheduled to interact with its members, pay courtesy visits to royal fathers in Lagos, engage with Yabatech stakeholders, conduct tours of college campuses, and hold intensive initial council meetings throughout the week.
The Federal Government also appointed Dr Muhammed Maude, a respected Ombudsman at the Public Complaints Commission, known for his dedication to justice and public service.
Additionally, Mr Ebenezer Akinbolade, a former Commissioner of the Lagos State Ministry of Establishment, and Saidi Balogun, a seasoned professional in Nigerian cinematography, acting, writing, scripting, producing, and directing, bring unique perspectives to the council.
