Nigeria’s edutech company, ProjKonnect, has announced a N375 million partnership with Digital Africa Global Consult, the organizers of the Digital Africa Conference and Exhibition, to promote digital education and awareness across the African continent. The collaboration, which spans the next five years, is aimed at advancing digital education by utilizing a robust platform to highlight technological innovations throughout Africa.
The partnership also seeks to position Africa as a technological leader by encouraging the ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI) to provide tailored solutions across various sectors. A key goal of the initiative is to drive policy reforms that enhance digital inclusion among Africa’s rapidly growing youth population.
Paul Ojo, CEO of ProjKonnect Integrated Systems Limited, emphasized the strategic alignment of the partnership with the company’s mission to decentralize knowledge access for undergraduates and support Africa’s digital transformation.
“We are thrilled to be a part of this phenomenal partnership poised to positively redefine the African technological landscape, particularly the Nigerian edutech terrain,” Ojo said. “We are firm believers that adopting technological advancements plays an integral role in creating bespoke knowledge-based solutions that would address the socio-economic issues limiting the overall growth of the African continent.”
Ojo added that the partnership aims to equip young Africans with the skills necessary to thrive in the 21st century, leveraging the extensive reach of their partners to make a significant impact.
Dr. Evans Woherem, Chairman of Digital Africa, underscored the transformative potential of the collaboration, noting that it would ignite new levels of creativity and empower African youth to become a global force.
“We are truly excited about the prospects of this partnership as we believe that we are on a journey to help revolutionize the future of African nations,” Woherem said. “The African continent needs to prioritize the empowerment of its exploding youthful population to compete with the rest of the world favorably. This reinforces the timeliness of our partnership with ProjKonnect as they are keen on liberalizing the process of knowledge sharing across Africa.”
ProjKonnect is an eLearning platform that uses cutting-edge digital technologies to address the skills gap within Africa’s youth, positioning itself as a leader in driving the continent’s digital education revolution.
