The ITET Gem Foundation has announced the opening of applications for its 2024 Annual Essay Competition, inviting Nigerian youths to contribute their innovative ideas for the country’s economic development.

Benefits:
The competition offers a total of N300,000 in prizes, with the first prize set at N150,000, the second at N100,000, and the third at N50,000. This initiative not only seeks to reward outstanding essays but also to encourage young Nigerians to think deeply about their country’s economic issues and propose viable solutions.

Eligibility:
Applicants must meet several criteria. They must be Nigerian citizens residing in Nigeria and under 18 years of age at the time of submission. Additionally, they must be reachable by phone and have access to an email account. Eligible participants should be students in Senior School 2 or 3 at a recognized Senior Secondary School. While entries from public school students are particularly encouraged, those from private schools are also welcome.

Application process:
Applicants are required to write an essay between 500 and 750 words on the specified topic. The essay should reflect the student’s understanding of Nigeria’s current economic situation, their vision for the future, and practical ideas for addressing economic challenges. Furthermore, the essay should highlight the role the student envisions for themselves in implementing these ideas.
To participate, students must submit their essays via email to admin@itetgemfoundation.com.
