The National Girls in ICT Competition is an initiative by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation, and Digital Economy aimed at transforming Nigeria’s ICT landscape. This platform invites secondary school girls to showcase their skills, creativity, and innovation in various ICT domains, fostering female participation and leadership in the sector.

– Develop coding, programming, web development, cybersecurity, and data analytics skills.
– Gain recognition and support from government agencies, educational institutions, and industry leaders.
– Network and learn through workshops, mentorship programs, and networking events.

Recognition and Rewards
Certificates, Scholarships, laptops, trophies, and certificates for winners., and opportunities for further education and development.

Timeline

-STAGE 1: National Call for Applications
22nd January – 18th February 2024

– STAGE 2: Virtual States Pitching Competition
12th March – 14th March 2024

– STAGE 3: Virtual National Pitching Competition
16th March 2024

Rewards for Participants:

– Stage 1 Participants:
E-Certificate and guidelines to set up Girls in ICT clubs.

– Stage 2 Participants:
Honorable mentions, certificates, and access to online courses.

– Stage 3 Participants:
Scholarships, laptops, trophies, and certificates for winners.

Application procedure and deadline 

Applications can be completed through the online portal. Application timeline is between 22nd January – 18th February 2024.
