Two students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, were killed in a fatal road accident along the Akure-Ondo Expressway on Wednesday evening.

The victims, Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola, who were reportedly on a motorcycle, were crushed by a speeding vehicle, resulting in their immediate deaths.

The National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council Ondo State Chapter confirmed the incident in a statement released on Thursday.

The statement, signed by the association’s chairman, Oluwarotimi Tobiloba Joshua, General Secretary, Oluwanishola Ajibola, and Public Relations Officer, Kehinde Blessing, expressed deep sorrow:

“This loss is a heavy blow to the Ondo State student community. The tragic deaths of Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola remind us of the fragility of life. These were young individuals with promising futures, and their loss is deeply felt.”
