Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, has restated its unwavering commitment to producing graduates who are both academically sound and morally upright.

Speaking at the institution’s 23rd matriculation ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Professor Jonathan Babalola assured students that his administration would continue to channel resources toward sustaining the university’s legacy of excellence.

Addressing the 1,600 newly admitted students, Professor Babalola emphasized that Bowen is more than just an academic institution—it is a community deeply rooted in values such as goodness, excellence, entrepreneurship, innovation, and social responsibility.

“I urge you to commit yourselves to your studies and shun all forms of immorality, distraction, and vice. Bowen University will not condone any form of anti-social behavior, including drug and substance abuse,” he warned.

The event also featured guest lectures by Leye Falade, Managing Director and CEO of Brunei Liquefied Natural Gas, and his twin brother, Gbite Falade, MD/CEO of Aradel Holding Plc. Both speakers underscored the importance of hard work, consistency, discipline, and godliness in achieving sustainable success.

They advised the students to remain focused, set clear priorities, break their goals into manageable steps, and pursue them with unwavering determination.

With a strong emphasis on both academic rigor and moral uprightness, Bowen University continues to shape well-rounded graduates ready to make meaningful contributions to society.
