The Kano State All Progressives Congress Students Council has organised a media briefing to sensitise and enlighten students of higher institutions in the state on the importance of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund and the process of accessing the loan.

The Director General of the council, Yahaya Usman, commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for initiating the loan programme towards supporting students in transforming their dreams into reality.

The briefing, held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Press Centre, marked the first step by the council to sensitise students on the loan and application process.

The Director of Finance, Najmuddin Mukhtar, said the council targeted students from the 44 Local Government Areas of the state in the loan application process.

The briefing featured a PowerPoint presentation on filling the NELFUND loan application online, to ensure the students were conversant with the process.

The Director of Campaign for Gawuna/Garo 2024 Kano Gubernatorial Elections, Alhaji Suleiman Bichi, urged students to utilise the opportunity to accomplish their goals.

The immediate-past Chairman of Kano Municipal Local Government Area, Fa’izu Alfindiki, urged the students to embrace the opportunity by ensuring that they applied for the NELFUND loan.

He lauded the APC administration for its foresight and commitment towards revitalising and uplifting the educational sector to greater heights.
