The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to 20 academic programs at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Kano State.
The announcement was made by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, on Wednesday.
The NUC’s rigorous evaluation covered 24 programs, of which 20 were awarded full accreditation status, signifying that they meet or exceed the commission’s stringent standards for academic excellence. The remaining four programs received interim accreditation, indicating the need for further improvements.
“This accomplishment reflects our unwavering commitment to providing high-quality education and maintaining academic excellence,” stated Yakasai. He emphasized that the accredited programs boast robust curricula, skilled faculty, adequate facilities, and significant research outputs.
The programmes that received full accreditation are diverse, spanning agriculture, engineering, technology, and education. They include:

– Biochemistry
– Science Laboratory Technology
– Geography
– Meteorology
Yakasai assured that the university is committed to achieving full accreditation for the remaining four programs soon.
“We are implementing strategic measures to upgrade the resources and infrastructure necessary for the programs with interim status, ensuring they meet the high standards set by the NUC,” he said.
