In a bid to enhance administrative efficiency and create a more conducive work environment, the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Education District II, Mrs. Anike Adekanye, has launched a revolving soft loan project for staff while also distributing modern office equipment across the district.
The initiative, aligned with the Lagos State Government’s commitment to improving the education sector, aims to strengthen staff welfare and optimize service delivery. Speaking at the District Headquarters in Maryland, Mrs. Adekanye emphasized the importance of well-equipped offices in fostering productivity and efficiency.
“A well-equipped office translates to better productivity. We believe that when workers have the necessary tools, they will be able to carry out their core responsibilities effectively.”
She reiterated that the project reflects Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to supporting the workforce and ensuring operational efficiency. She urged recipients to maximize the use of the equipment to enhance service delivery and expressed appreciation for the diligence, commitment, and support of the staff throughout her tenure.
“I want to celebrate and appreciate all of you for your unwavering dedication. I have no doubt that Education District II will continue to grow stronger, prioritizing policies and projects that align with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus agenda for a technologically-driven education sector.”
The highpoint of the event was the official launch of the revolving soft loan project and the distribution of essential office equipment, including high-capacity photocopiers, air conditioners, chairs, ceiling and standing fans, and water closets.
This initiative underscores the Lagos State Government’s commitment to creating a progressive, technology-driven education sector that enhances the welfare and productivity of its workforce.
