Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Folashade Adefisayo , has said that education remains the only key and critical component of development.
Adefisayo made the remark during the Lagos Education Conference 2023 held on Wednesday at NECA House, Alausa, Ikeja.
The conference, themed, “Exploring the opportunities in public-private partnership for education and development in Nigeria”, was organised to explore opportunities available to further develop education between public and private sectors.
The commissioner stated the state government is open to more partnerships with key stakeholders to enable it to build into present-day students, the leadership competency they need to take charge as future leaders.
“The partnership with Casio has an impact on learning outcomes. We are open to more partnerships with key stakeholders especially where it affects our children because we have to start building them up with the leadership competencies they will need now as future leaders.
“We attribute some of the successes to the quality of training teachers received in the use of calculator, making more classroom engaging and the learning environment motivating.
