Encomium as Niqob sister becomes best graduating student in Chemistry at US Varsity

The Offa Descendant Union (ODU), under the leadership of Alhaji Olaniyi Muideen Azeez Salako, has applauded Mrs. Bilquis Yetunde Bintinlaiye for being the Best Student Award at the Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA, where she completed her Msc programme in Chemistry with a perfect GPA of 4.0.

The commendation was given via a congratulatory message by the ODU’s National Social Secretary and Ag NPRO, Idowu Muhydeen Oladipo, on behalf of the National President, Alhaji Salako described Bilquis’s academic feat as commendable and worthy of emulation. He said Bilqius had made us all proud.

Alhaji Salako added that Offa is known as an academic hub and that her accomplishment in the faraway USA is a testimony to this.

Also, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 presidential campaign council in Kwara State, Honourable Marooph Bukoye Bintinlaye also commended Bilquis Yetunde Bintinlaiye on her feat.

He posted the commendation on his Facebook page on Saturday evening. He wrote: “Congratulations to the Bintinlaye family 🎊🎉. Congratulations to Offa, Kwara State 💐🎊

“Mrs Bilquis Bintinlaye completed her Msc programme in Chemistry at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States of America.

“Bilquis graduated with perfect GPA of 4.0 today, Saturday, 6th of May, 2023.”

Bilquis has previously received many honours and awards such as the Albert and Ethel Smith Scholarship Award, Gale J. Clark Memorial Scholarship Award, MTSU Chemistry Department Outstanding Graduate Student Award, and the 2021 Tennessee Academy of Science Award, among others.
