The Nasiru Haladu Danu Foundation has announced its commitment to collaborate with the University of Abuja in constructing additional hostels for students, alongside extending essential aid during the holy month of Ramadan.
Alhaji Nasiru Haladu Danu, the founder of the foundation and distinguished businessman, revealed this pledge during a visit to the university campus on Saturday
Emphasizing his determination to support students in any way possible, Danu affirmed his foundation’s dedication to alleviating the accommodation challenges faced by students.
Expressing his benevolent spirit, Danu also donated food items to cater to the nutritional needs of 500 students, particularly those observing the fast during Ramadan.
Additionally, he pledged to sustain the provision of meals for at least 300 students throughout the remaining days of the holy month.
“We have witnessed firsthand the commendable efforts of Professor Na’Allah within the campus,” remarked Haladu, underlining the importance of collaborative efforts to address the pressing issue of insufficient student accommodation.
Providing sustenance to fasting individuals, including students, has long been a cherished tradition for Haladu, who finds profound satisfaction in extending such assistance.
Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, expressed profound gratitude for Haladu’s generous gestures.
He emphasized the significance of continued support from compassionate individuals and stakeholders in fostering the institution’s development.
“In this sacred month of Ramadan, the benevolent actions of Haladu will significantly benefit fasting students. We welcome the involvement of private individuals and stakeholders in our mission to enhance the university’s facilities and services,” remarked Na’Allah, underscoring the university’s ethos of collaborative advancement.
