On October 29, 2024, a significant milestone was achieved as the KWASU Centre for Women Development and Entrepreneurship in Osi celebrated the graduation of its inaugural cohort of 10 students.
These ambitious women successfully completed a comprehensive training program focused on modern ladies’ wear and the essential skills of digital entrepreneurship.
The graduation ceremony was a notable event, attended by distinguished guests including HRH, Oba Saliu Abdulkareem Adasofegbe, the Olosi of Osi, and the esteemed Vice Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, along with members of the university’s extended management team.
In a move to equip the graduates for their entrepreneurial journeys, each graduand was presented with industrial sewing machines and mobile phones. These vital resources are intended to enable them not only to engage in economic activities but also to empower other women by sharing the skills they have acquired.
As they embark on this new chapter, the graduates are poised to make a significant impact on their communities, spreading knowledge and fostering economic independence among women.
