Kwara State University, Malete, has set a new record in the National Universities Commission’s accreditation exercise, receiving a hundred per cent pass mark in all twelve programmes presented for re-accreditation in the 2022 November/December round. The Deputy Director of Programme Accreditation of the NUC, Architect S.S. Ikani, signed the notice of the re-accreditation success, which was dated March 9, 2023, and addressed to the Visitor to the University and Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
The re-accredited programmes include Arabic Language and Literature, Christian Studies, Islamic Studies, History and International Studies, Library and Information Science, Special Education, and Human Kinetics, as well as Geology, Industrial Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics.
Reacting to the achievement, the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, expressed his delight, attributing the success to the quality of instruction and facilities in the University. “This is a remarkable achievement for us, and it speaks to our commitment to academic excellence,” he said.
