The Welfare Director of the Lagos State University Students’ Union has embarked on a diplomatic mission by paying a courtesy visit to CSP Ajao Oluwasegun, Head of Commandant at PPL Police Station.
The engagement, unveiled on the LASUSU NEWS ROOM platform on January 29, 2024, marks a pivotal moment in the collaborative efforts between the student body and law enforcement within the university precincts.
During the visit, CSP Ajao Oluwasegun expressed appreciation for the students’ union’s initiative in establishing a harmonious relationship with the security unit. Recognising the importance of a symbiotic connection, he affirmed his commitment to swiftly address any security challenges that may arise within the university community.
In an encouraging gesture, the commandant assured the students of his responsiveness during times of security difficulties and extended an invitation to contact him directly. This move reflects his dedication to promoting an open line of communication between the security apparatus and the student body.
