Nigeria’s Education Minister, Tahir Mamman, has affirmed the nation’s commitment to fostering collaboration with the Federal Republic of Bulgaria Edugist learnt
The pledge was made during a recent meeting with His Excellency Yanko Yordanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Nigeria.
Tahir emphasized the global nature of university education and assured a swift renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between Nigeria and Bulgaria.
The minister expressed Nigeria’s willingness to engage in research initiatives and exchange programs with nations worldwide, highlighting the mutual benefits such partnerships could bring.
Minister of State for Education, Yusuf Tanko Sununu, further underscored Nigeria’s existing collaborations with universities globally, welcoming Bulgaria’s expansion of cooperation, particularly in the fields of Agriculture and Medicine.
Ambassador Yanko Yordanov extended an invitation to Nigerian students, revealing scholarship opportunities at the graduate and postgraduate levels in select Bulgarian universities.
These scholarships are slated to be available at the commencement of the academic session starting in September of this year.
The sustained partnership between Nigeria and Bulgaria is set to be reaffirmed through the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding, reinforcing the commitment of both nations to fostering educational excellence.
