The Nigerian Minister for Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, has extended a warm reception to a distinguished delegation from the United States, led by the Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, Lee Satterfield, in a meeting held at the Federal Ministry of Education.
During the gathering, Assistant Secretary Satterfield expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to engage in a collaborative effort with Nigeria in the spheres of education and culture, with a particular focus on television and filmmaking.
She articulated a vision of leveraging this partnership to generate innovative ideas and initiatives that would propel Nigeria towards a brighter future.

The Minister of State Education, Yusuf Tanko Sununu, further emphasized the critical areas for collaboration, including addressing the challenge of out-of-school children, enhancing teacher quality, and bolstering technical and vocational education and training programmes.
Sununu highlighted the United States’ pivotal role as a key partner in fulfilling the Ministry’s mandate and expanding educational opportunities for Nigerian students, noting the significant presence of Nigerian scholars in American institutions.
