Senator Yar’adua, underscoring the distinct socioeconomic challenges in northern Nigeria, noted that the loan scheme plays a vital role in addressing these concerns. “This scheme offers young citizens an invaluable chance to secure a brighter future, enabling them to access quality education without financial burdens,” he said, stressing the program’s potential to foster regional stability, curb youth restiveness, and expand employment opportunities.

The Forum urged northern governors to champion the #NelfundStudentLoan initiative by promoting awareness and facilitating easier access to these educational funds. They expressed optimism that broader state involvement would strengthen the program, contributing to sustainable growth and development across the region.
