Igbalaye Ayodele, a member of the Ogun House of Assembly representing Abeokuta South Constituency II, has announced that he is sponsoring over 100 students from his constituency on a scholarship to ESTG University in the Republic of Benin.

The Punch reported that the initiative is part of Ayodele’s commitment to promoting education among the youth in the state.

In a statement released by his Media Adviser, Adeyemi Obadimu, it was revealed that the scholarship recipients were selected based on their performance in the recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

Ayodele expressed his vision and mission “to foster unity within communities and enhance the quality of education by encouraging academic excellence.”

He emphasized the significance of providing a quality education for children, as education plays a vital role in driving development and addressing issues such as poverty, gender equality, peace, and stability.

“The scholarship programme was initiated six years ago with 50 students, and this year it has expanded to benefit 100 students, chosen from public secondary schools in Abeokuta South,” the statement unveiled.

it added, “Thus far, the scheme has assisted more than 300 students. Ayodele plans to increase the number of beneficiaries in the future, particularly among secondary school students aspiring to pursue higher education.”

Adeola Oguniyi, one of the scholarship recipients, expressed gratitude on behalf of the other beneficiaries and prayed for Ayodele’s continued success and achievements.
