Qatar Foundation’s World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) has recognised the transformative power of artificial intelligence (AI) and how it is becoming an integral part of our daily lives.

The WISE Summit 2023 will bring together educators from diverse backgrounds, including tech innovators, AI ethicists, policymakers, and students, to create dialogues on how AI will shape the future of education.

Under the theme “Creative Fluency: Human Flourishing in the Age of AI,” the 11th edition of the WISE Summit, organised by WISE – Qatar Foundation‘s global innovation in education platform, is scheduled for November 28-29, 2023.

This summit goes beyond exploring the coexistence of humans and AI; it shows the seamless integration of AI into learning environments, enriching educational experiences, nurturing creativity, and preparing both educators and learners to harness AI tools and systems effectively.

WISE 11 promises a dynamic programme featuring live podcasts, immersive AI experiences, interactive masterclasses, and panel discussions addressing an array of topics crucial for the future of education. These discussions encompass AI strategies to bridge educational gaps, the creation of inclusive learning environments tailored to diverse needs, and the pivotal role of AI in the transition from conventional classroom learning to AI-influenced teaching.

Furthermore, the event will spotlight the importance of educators ensuring that AI in education is ethically sound and addresses socio-economic concerns. It will emphasize the need for AI to align with local values while integrating global advancements and equipping learners with the skills necessary for an ever-evolving job landscape.

Stavros N. Yiannouka, CEO of WISE, said, “At a time when AI is at the forefront of the global conversation, we must consider its role in the future of education. WISE 11 provides a platform for policymakers, educators and innovators to collaboratively envision how AI can enhance the learning experience and empower individuals.”

Yiannouka added that “WISE 11 aspires to inspire and thought leadership, providing a roadmap for a future where teachers and learners can leverage AI to create transformative learning experiences.”

This year’s theme aligns perfectly with QF’s mission to cultivate a culture of lifelong learning and creativity in the age of AI.

WISE 11, the summit’s 11th edition, marks a significant milestone, emphasising a new era of global educational transformation. Through its biennial summit, collaborative research, and several ongoing programmes, WISE has become a global point of reference for new educational paradigms.

Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) is a non-profit organisation that supports Qatar on its journey to becoming a diversified and sustainable economy. QF strives to serve the people of Qatar and beyond by providing specialized programs across its innovation-focused ecosystem of education, research and development, and community development.
