The University of Abuja (UniAbuja) has issued a crucial advisory to all candidates seeking admission for the 2024/2025 academic session, cautioning against making any further changes to their chosen courses or programmes on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal.
In a statement released by the Admissions Office, applicants are urged to be patient as the university prepares to publish a list of courses with available slots.
“Candidates who have applied for admission to the University of Abuja are hereby advised to refrain from making any further changes to their courses or programmes on the JAMB portal,” the notice states.
The university plans to release a detailed advertisement listing courses with remaining vacancies. This measure will allow those who were not admitted to their initially selected courses to review alternative options. “The University will advertise for courses with vacancies such that applicants not admitted into the courses they apply for can choose from courses advertised,” the statement clarifies.
The Admissions Office further warned that premature adjustments on the JAMB portal could have unintended consequences, potentially compromising applicants’ chances of securing a place.
“Please note that any changes made during this period before the release of the adverts may jeopardise your chances of admission,” the notice concluded.
This advisory is part of the University of Abuja ongoing efforts to ensure a fair and transparent admissions process for all candidates.
