The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo State, has announced the appointment of Ezekiel Imoleayo Adeniran as its third substantive Registrar. The Governing Council made the decision during its 23rd meeting on August 22, 2024, with Adeniran officially assuming office on January 6, 2025.
Adeniran brings over 16 years of extensive experience in university administration, having served in federal, state, and private institutions. His broad exposure to different educational systems has equipped him with a deep understanding of managing universities with diverse funding structures.
The new Registrar boasts impressive academic credentials, including a Master’s Degree in Health Law & Policy from UNIMED, a Master’s in Business Administration with specializations in Human Resource Management and General Management, and a Diploma in Leadership and Business Management from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He also holds a B.Sc. (Honours) in Political Science from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.
Known for his exemplary leadership, Adeniran has been honored with the Sunshine Role Model Award and the Adekunle Ajasin University Distinguished Alumni Award. His commitment to excellence has garnered both local and international recognition.
Adeniran is a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria (IPMA) and a member of the Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA). His professional affiliations reflect his dedication to advancing the field of university administration.
With his extensive experience across all divisions of the registry and the broader university system, Adeniran’s appointment is expected to elevate UNIMED’s administrative efficiency. His vision and expertise are anticipated to guide the institution towards greater achievements in the 21st century.
