Prof Charles Esimone, vice-chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, has been appointed as the chairman of the prestigious Anambra Man of the Year Award.
The organising committee, led by Stephen Ufoaroh, PhD, ASUU Chairman, UNIZIK Chapter, officially announced this during their courtesy visit to the vice-chancellor.
In a letter presented to Prof. Esimone, the committee expressed their choice of him as the chairperson due to his impeccable integrity, widespread respect, and deep love for the state. They acknowledged his previous recognition as one of the Anambra 100 Achievers, which garnered significant celebration.
Expressing gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him, the VC thanked the organisers for considering him worthy of chairing the event.

Assuring the VC, the committee promised that the 2023 Anambra Man of the Year Award would surpass all expectations.
The highly anticipated event is scheduled to take place on July 1st, 2023, at the Stanel Dome in Awka. The Anambra Man of the Year Awards will bring together distinguished individuals who have displayed exceptional leadership, innovation, and positive influence in their respective domains.
