The alumni association of Ambrose Alli University (AAU) has urged its global members to lend their support to the ongoing Computerized Examination and Records building project at the university’s main campus in Ekpoma, Edo State.
This call was made in a communique issued following the first quarterly meeting of the association, which was held in Asaba. The statement was signed by Dr. Clifford Imade Omozeghian, the Worldwide President, and Joseph Obaro Ikupa, the Worldwide General Secretary.
The association expressed gratitude to Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Executive Governor of Delta State, for his pledge to support the Computerized Examination and Records building project. The alumni also commended Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, for his efforts in advancing the university’s progress, particularly his increase in the subvention to the institution and his steps toward resolving the crisis in the Medical College, which has led to the induction of a backlog of medical professionals, including doctors and nurses.
Additionally, the alumni association recognized three distinguished members based in Asaba—Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Mrs. Catherine Ngozi Ojugbana-Orishedere, President of the Customary Court of Appeal, and Hon. (Dr.) Odingwe Daniel, Hon. Commissioner for Science and Technology—thanking them for the warm reception extended to the NEC during their courtesy visits.
The alumni also passed a vote of confidence on Dr. Clifford Imade Omozeghian, the Worldwide President, for his exceptional leadership and acknowledged the Asaba Branch of the Association, led by Mrs. Ingrid Atseyinku, for successfully hosting the first quarterly meeting of 2025.
