The FCM Foundation Board (FCM FBS) has announced its 2024 Undergraduate Scholarship program, specifically aimed at supporting female Muslim students in Nigeria.

This debut scholarship initiative offers financial assistance and mentorship to students in their 200 or 300 levels at eligible universities, providing a significant boost to their academic journey and future aspirations.

Benefits:
The FCM FBS scholarship is designed to provide comprehensive support to its recipients. Selected scholars will receive a one-time monetary grant intended to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with higher education. In addition, the scholarship includes a one-day mentorship session in Lagos, scheduled for November 2024, where recipients will receive guidance and advice from experienced professionals. Post-disbursement, the scholars will also benefit from ongoing mentorship and the possibility of future support for higher education endeavors.

Eligibility:
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet specific requirements. Eligible candidates must be female Muslim undergraduate students currently enrolled in their 200 or 300 levels at one of the 22 designated universities. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.5 or its equivalent. Successful candidates must also be prepared to attend the one-day mentorship session in Lagos as part of the scholarship program.

Application process:
Interested candidates can apply for the FCM FBS scholarship through the official application portal. Applicants should ensure that all required documents are correctly prepared and uploaded during the application process. The foundation emphasizes the importance of genuine and well-prepared submissions, particularly the reference letters and personal statements, as these will be critical in the selection process.

Application deadline: September 25, 2024.
