The Ta’awunu Naqeeb of Iragbiji, Ustaz Abdulmumeen Alam-yakeen has urged parents to embrace proper child upbringing and described human procreation as blessings as well as miraculous power of Allah.

He made this known during a sermon session at the naming ceremony organised by the Imam and Naqeeb of Taawunu Mosque Iree at the Ta’awunu School premises, Cocoa Avenue, Oke Ogii Iree 18th October, 2023.

In his sermon, he expressed that the ability to have children is a blessing and a miraculous display of Allah’s power. He highlighted the various ways in which Allah created humans, such as Adam without a father or mother, Jesus with a mother but not a father, and Eve with a father but not a mother, while the common one is with both a father and a mother. “…this diversity in creation is seen as a testament to the wonder of Allah’s power.” He stated.

Ustaz Abdulmumeen emphasized that Allah is the provider for both parents and children, and individuals should not fear poverty due to having many children.

The importance of being kind and trustworthy to one’s neighbors was also emphasized based on the saying of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Ustaz Abdulmumeen commended and offered prayers for all mothers, acknowledging the challenges they face during pregnancy.

Addressing the prevailing issues in the society, the speaker stated that mischief is spreading, and the true message of Islam offers a solution.

He stressed that Islam encourages believers to show mercy to all individuals, regardless of their religious affiliation. “…Islam encourages making peace with all members of society, including those who do not share the same religious beliefs.” He highlighted.

Ustauz Abdulmumeen criticized the Nigerian government for neglecting God’s ways and claimed that recognizing God is necessary for success. He highlighted the suffering of Nigerians, which he attributed to the lack of fear of God.

More so, he emphasized the importance of proper child upbringing and urged parents to set good examples for their children.

Expressing gratitude, Ustaz Abdulmumeen Alam-yakeen appreciated the Iree Ta’awunu Naqeeb, Uztauz Abdul Azeez Sakariyau.

In response, the Iree Ta’awunu Naqeeb, Uztauz Abdul Azeez Sakariyau expressed gratitude to the lecturer and all the well-wishers, offering prayers for the well-being of everyone and their children.
