The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has commenced the new year on a spiritual and reflective note by holding its Annual Prayer Session at the Board’s Multi-Purpose Hall.
The event, which brought together staff and stakeholders, set a motivational tone for 2025 while seeking divine guidance for the year ahead.
Board Secretary Mr. Hakeem Lamidi, addressing attendees, emphasized the importance of gratitude and faith in navigating the challenges of the new year.
“We begin this year with a
heart full of gratitude, seeking divine protection and wisdom as we forge ahead. Let us also remember our colleagues who passed away in 2024, and may we draw strength from our faith as we move forward,” he said.
Reflecting on the board’s 2024 achievements, Mr. Lamidi praised the progress made in improving basic education infrastructure, enhancing teacher training, and boosting learning outcomes for pupils across Lagos State. He reaffirmed LASUBEB’s unwavering commitment to its mantra, “leaving no child behind,” in ensuring access to quality basic education.
The interfaith prayer session, led by Christian and Islamic clerics, featured heartfelt prayers for peace, prosperity, and success in the coming year. The clerics emphasized the importance of unity, dedication, and resilience in achieving LASUBEB’s goals.
“We must remain steadfast in our mission to transform education in Lagos State. Together, we can overcome any challenges and achieve even greater milestones,” Mr. Lamidi added, urging staff to uphold professionalism, discipline, and public service ethics.
